Ahne & Ähne

For almost 20 years I lived down the road from my grandparents house, in Kayh, a small village near Tübingen, Germany. Apart from ocassional visits and lending a hand in the plum fields in fall, however, I didn’t have a lot do with Elfriede and Alfred Gußmann. It was only when i moved away to Hannover that I realized what a special life they led with their hard work and their strong belief.
My grandparents’ faithfulness and persistence, her modesty and even his stubborness, at times, always inspire me during the days I spend with them whenever I visit home.
