No better place

For 6 years now the Central Methodist Church in downtown Johannesburg, South Africa, has been a home to some 1500 people, most of whom have fled from the deep crisis in their home country Zimbabwe. As they don’t have the official papers that would allow them to work and roam freely in South Africa, they are practically confined to the church. Since Robert Mugabe, the president of Zimbabwe, announced that he won’t step down alive, there is nowhere else for for the occupants of the church to go until the “Old Man” has died.

If you want to help better the situation of the people living in the church, please do not hesitate to donate to Medecins Sans Frontiers whose South African branch runs a small clinic in the basement of the building.
